Day 1 Impressions by Stephanie WhiteAfter the airplane ride, we arrived in Santiago de Chile. Something I found interesting was that people from 5 countries, including Canada, Mexico and Albania were charged a fee to enter Chile. Once we left the airport, the air and smog were. I loved seeing the mountains on the bus to the hotel, we saw a few homeless people sleeping on the street. However, there were less than I expected. I expected to see beggers all over as compared to other South American countries. We walked to a big park and on the way we noticed tons of stray dogs. Then we went to a super toursty area called Patio Bellavista, where we ate lunch. After that, we decided to head back to the Hotel. Overall, it was a great first impression.
